About the Opportunity

Due to continued growth, Berg Engineering are now seeking a National Sales Manager to join their Executive team, ideally in the Brisbane head office.

Reporting directly to the CEO, the role will be primarily responsible for achieving core financial and strategic objectives relating to the overall success of the business. This is a hands on role that will see you personally performing Sales functions as well as contributing to the company strategy as part of the Executive team.

Key responsibilities of the role will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Developing, reviewing and actioning Sales plans and strategies across the group;
  • Coaching, managing and growing a small Sales team to achieve and exceed KPIs and Sales targets;
  • Developing product and sector knowledge;
  • Designing and leading effective Sales campaigns in conjunction with the Marketing team;
  • Developing key accounts to maximise opportunity.

Please note: This position will require you to travel, predominantly throughout Queensland, but potentially nationally and internationally where required. Trips will be based on a fly-in-fly-out (FIFO) basis and all travel costs will be compensated.

About You

To be considered for this position, you will have a proven track-record in solutions-based Sales as well as extensive experience in, and understanding of, the Mining, Engineering and Manufacturing industries. You will need to draw upon your industry knowledge to attract and influence opportunities for the business to provide solutions through best practice sales processes. As the National Sales Manager will be intimately involved in all aspects of the business, the ideal candidate will also possess shallow experience across Marketing, Finance and Human Resources, though this is not essential.

In this customer-facing role, you will need to be confident in your ability to communicate clearly and effectively to both internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the organisation. Working largely autonomously, you must be self-driven, results-oriented and able to achieve and exceed Sales and growth targets.
