About the Opportunity
Due to continued growth, Berg Engineering are now looking for an experienced Machinist to join their team as Machine Shop Supervisor. This is a full-time role, based in their Brendale, Brisbane workshop.
Reporting to the Workshop Manager, you will be responsible for the supervision and development of the Machine Shop Team, overseeing quality control and best practice process to ensure your area produces quality work in a safe and efficient manner.
Whilst mainly a supervisor position, overseeing the training, scheduling and technical work of your team, you will be expected to step in and 'lead from the front' in a hands-on capacity when required.
To be considered, you will need a strong background in Fitting and Turning, with significant experience in manufacturing or heavy industry engineering and demonstrated leadership skills.

Ideally, you will be a lateral thinker who has a knack for "thinking outside the box" and motivating others to do the same. You will be able to see several ways to overcome a challenge and work through a logical thought process to decide on the best path forward.
Experience in the following machines would be an advantage:
- CNC Machines (Fenuc & Mazak)
- Horizontal Borers
- Vertical Borers
- Manual Lathes
- Slotting and Mills
